It may not have the instant name recognition of some of its flashier neighbors, but the Silverton Hotel in Las Vegas has all the excitement and luxury of those bigger resorts with half the crowds and double the hospitality.
Appearance
Everything at Silverton epitomizes the relaxed, comfortable vacation you’ve been waiting for. Accommodations are roomy and newly remodeled in beautiful cabin decor, and feature lots of spectacular amenities, from cushy pillow-top beds to Bath & Body Works products in every room.

Dining
Dining experiences at Silverton are never dull and ALWAYS delicious. The Shady Grove Lounge is a restaurant unlike any other—where else can you dine next to a mini bowling alley, drink a beer in the lounge under an aspen tree, and sit in a comfortable leather chair and watch one of twelve plasma TVs?
If your tastes run more south of the border, Mi Casa Cantina Grill offers up an eight-foot open grill that’s constantly cooking up Mexican specialties—and a bar that serves up over 65 varieties of tequila! No matter what time of day you’re hungry, the Sundance Grill is open 24 hours a day for all your traditional favorites, from pancakes to steaks.
Of course, you can’t forget the new Seasons Buffet—it’s got lots of entrees, lots of desserts, and its very own chocolate fountain!
Free Entertainment
Probably one of the most unique eateries in Las Vegas, the Mermaid Aquarium offers snacks, martinis, and a 117,000-gallon aquarium full of every tropical fish imaginable! Whether you’re there for the food or the fish, you’ll enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience at the Mermaid Aquarium. The aquarium, itself, is free to the public, and even houses sharks and stingrays! This is one of the must-see attractions in Vegas, and the best part is, it’s free!
Gambling
Gamblers of all tastes can enjoy Silverton’s hopping 60,000 square foot casino. This state-of-the-art gambling center features your favorite Slots, a live Keno Lounge, and table games galore, from Blackjack to Craps and back to Poker! For those who prefer to put their wagers on a horse or bet on the big game, Leroy’s Race and Sports Book is definitely the place to be.

My fiance' and I stayed at the Silverton in a room and then upgraded to a suite. We were blown away by the cleanliness, top shelf service and charm of the property. From their Buffet ( we couldn't beleive the quality and variety of food that was consitently delicious each and every time we visited) to the Steakhouse restaurant. We first tried to go on Monday night, but it was closed. We chose the Mexican restaurant instead ( which was a blast at the Cantina bar…free chips and salsa with fresh sangria and excellent margaritas) and the staff was so much fun. We enjoyed Kim and TJ so much…the next night we went to the Steakhouse and it was the pinnacle of our trip.
The bartender who was actually a "Master Mixologist" was engaging and very knowldgeable. I am a wine lover, but he introduced me to some Bourbon drinks and I have a whole new appreciation for it. We decided to stay at the bar and eat our dinner at the bar. It was the BEST STEAK I've ever eaten. I had a Bourbon Barbeque Bone in Ribeye and my finace had the salmon…the mixologist suggested that I order truffled potatoes and poached asparagus on the side. FANTASTIC! I usually stay at Mandalay or Venetian, but I will definatley be making the Silverton my Vegas destination of choice.
We spent a lot of time in the poker room and on the crap tables and then relaxed by watching the Mermaids swim around in the huge fish tank next to the Mermaid bar.
